Mold’s first Continental Market comes to town

Mold Continental Market - Spanish Jose

Mold Town Council is pleased to welcome the very first Continental Market to visit the busy and thriving market town of Mold – so come and sample the delights of the Continent, with complimentary nibbles available from different stalls!

The Town Council has worked with Traditional Market Ltd to bring to the town professional continental market traders from a number of European countries including France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Holland and Portugal. Bringing a wide variety of exciting special products the continental market will be on Daniel Owen Square in Mold on Thursday, 26th, Friday 27th and Sunday 29th April from 9am to 5pm each day.

Authentically attired traders will be selling high quality food including Brittany biscuits, olives, Italian nougat, delectable cheeses, sausages, tartiflette (a delicious cheese and potatoes dish from the Alps), charcuterie, fresh bread, croissants and much, much more!

Or, for those of you with a sweet tooth, there will also be freshly made crepes with a selection of delectable fillings…

In addition to these tasty goods, you will also be able to choose from a wide range of products on offer including hand bags & leather items, Marseille soaps, lavender, children’s toys and pashminas!  There really will be something for everyone!

Most of the products on sale will come from each stall holder’s region, where they are produced by small organisations such as family businesses, farms or small factories using traditional methods and maintaining a high standard of quality.

All of the traders will also wear their traditional local costumes from 100 years ago, as well as decorating their stall to represent the region of the country they come from. The market will therefore provide you with a true flavour of the Continent…

The Mold Continental Market is being co-ordinated by Mold Town Council and licensed by Flintshire County Council.
