Cittaslow Taiwan?

Mo Anderson-Dungar, Aylsham Town Clerk, writes about a recent visit from Taiwan’s Yu Pei Chang and their hopes of joining Cittaslow.

“Aylsham was pleased to welcome Yu Pei Chang from Taiwan during the 9th to 17th September, as part of an international trip to explore Cittàslow towns in Germany, Italy and the UK.  Funded by the Taiwanese government, Yu Pei spent time researching how Cittàslow worked in the various towns with the ultimate goal to make her town the first Cittàslow in Taiwan.  She was particularly interested in work for older people, and it gave us the opportunity to show her the St Michael’s Care Complex – incorporating Housing with Care, a Care Home with Nursing, a Health Centre/pharmacy and a Community Centre.
