How to Join Cittaslow
All applications to join Cittaslow from UK towns are dealt with by Cittaslow UK. Other organisations can join the network as Cittaslow Supporters.
If you are a town eligible to join Cittaslow, get in touch and let's start talking! The process is not arduous, and involves completing a fairly detailed questionnaire that forms a self-assessment of your town's current position. This scores your town against the Cittaslow Goals. Most towns will be well on the way to scoring 50 percent against the Cittaslow Goals, which is a requirement of membership. Cittaslow UK can help you get to grips with Goals and how to score your town against them, and will conduct a short, formal audit of your self-assessement when you apply to join the network. You don't have to have a town or parish council in your town in order to become Cittaslow, but you do need to involve elected representatives in your Cittaslow group. If you do have a town or parish council, it is normally the council that makes the final application and goes on to co-ordinate Cittaslow activities once your town is a member.
